Woodfines has been announced as winners in five categories in this year’s Lex 100; an annual survey of trainee solicitors which provides a comprehensive assessment of law firm training contracts in the UK.
In 2018, the Lex 100 gathered 2,800 anonymous responses from trainees at 145 law firms across the UK. In evaluating their firms, trainees assigned scores relating to 12 different criteria of trainee life: job satisfaction, living up to expectations, work quality, client contact, partner approachability, work/life balance, social life, vacation scheme, confidence of being kept on, remuneration, inclusiveness and international secondments.
Woodfines were listed as winners and rated in the top 20 of UK law firms in the following areas:
- Has the firm lived up to your expectations?
- How happy are you with your work/life balance?
- How would you rate the inclusiveness of your workplace environment?
- How confident are you that you will be kept on at the end of your training contract?
- How would you rate your amount of client contact?
Karen Jobbling, Woodfines’ HR Manager, said: “We are delighted to see that our current trainees consider the firm to be meeting their expectations in so many areas, and providing them with a rounded experience to help assist in their future careers. We hope that those using the directory to consider their future training contract applications will see from this that Woodfines is a fantastic place to undertake their solicitors’ training.”
