Nathan Taylor-Allkins, a solicitor in Woodfines’ Crime and Regulatory team, was named both Service Industry Star of the Year and Milton Keynes Star of the Year at the inaugural Next Generation Business Awards on Friday 5th July 2019.
The awards were designed by the Next Generation Chamber to recognise the talent and dedication of the next generation of business leaders who work in all sectors across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, and in particular, those who make an impressive impact in their chosen field.
Nathan was nominated for Service Industry Star of the Year in recognition of his commitment to Woodfines and his team, the service he provides to clients, and his willingness to get involved in activities benefitting the wider community. These include fronting a drink driving awareness campaign for the firm in December 2018, which aimed to highlight the legal consequences of drink driving, and his own fundraising for the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s Baby Bereavement Fund, where he cycled 880km across Switzerland, raising over £2,100 in the process.
Department Head, Mike Hayward, from Woodfines Solicitors said: “Nathan is extremely deserving of these awards, and it is great to see him being recognised for the effort he puts into his work and across a number of Woodfines’ campaigns and events.”
Nathan trained as a solicitor at the firm, before qualifying into the Crime and Regulatory team at Woodfines in 2015. Since then, he has continued to specialise in both road transport cases, in which he also presents at the firm’s annual Road Transport Conferences, and a wide range of criminal and regulatory matters.
