Woodfines is pleased to announce that Natalie Richards and Alev Tonks have now completed their solicitors’ training contracts with the firm, and have qualified as solicitors.

Natalie has joined the firm’s Private Client team, where she will advise clients on the drafting of Wills, deputyship applications, lasting powers of attorney, and the administration of estates and probate, from Woodfines’ office in Bedford.

Alev joins Woodfines’ Commercial Litigation team in Milton Keynes, where she will be advising on a wide range of commercial and property disputes, negligence, and insolvency matters.

Mike Hayward, who oversees the firm’s training contracts, says: “We are delighted to see Natalie and Alev come to the end of their training contracts, and that they have chosen to remain with the firm to begin their careers as solicitors. They have both proven themselves to be assets to their respective teams, and we look forward to continuing to see them flourish in their new roles.

Meanwhile, current trainee solicitors, Lily Burton, Clare Wilkie and Eoin Longworth enter their second year of training. Each six month period in the two-year training contract is referred to as a ‘seat’, and in their next seats, Lily and Eoin will both be based in the firm’s Commercial Property department, with Eoin working in Bedford and Lily in Milton Keynes. Clare has moved to Bedford to train in the firm’s Private Client team there.

Woodfines has also welcome four new trainee solicitors to begin their training contracts with the firm in September 2019. For their first seats, Ben Greenwood and Ciara Higgins will be based in the firm’s Milton Keynes office, in the Commercial and Family Law departments respectively.

Former Woodfines paralegal, Thomas Hale, will begin his training in the Cambridge office’s Private Client team, while Natasha Stroud has moved from a secretarial role to begin her training contract in the Commercial Litigation team, also in Cambridge.
