More about Gillian…
What was your first job?
When I was 16, I started a Saturday job in a card shop. I stayed there until I left school and then temped as a legal secretary each summer while I was at university. I learned so much that way.
If you weren’t a lawyer or in your current profession, what would you be doing?
I’m not sure I’d want to do anything else. Assuming I’d won the lottery because neither pays well, I’d probably be making more latch hook rugs and wall art to sell in my Etsy shop while running a bookshop.
