Trainees arrange donations for Keech Hospice to put a smile on children’s faces at Christmas

In the run up to Christmas, Woodfines’ team of Trainee Solicitors organised a Christmas fundraising event for the Children’s Unit at Keech Hospice Care with staff across all of our offices bringing in new toys, arts and crafts, books, and sensory toys to donate to the Children’s Unit.  The Keech Children’s Unit cares for children from newborn to 18 years and the main purpose of the fundraising event was to gather a wide variety of toys for the children of all ages visiting the unit to enjoy over the Christmas period.

The trainees delivered all donations to the Children’s Unit in the middle of December and had a tour of the hospice. They were able to see first hand the care and support the charity provides for both adults and children in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. The level of support also extended to patients’ family and friends was heart-warming and testament to the exceptional level of care provided by the hospice
