Bedford Breakfast Club

The Bedford Breakfast Club is a networking event which has been running successfully for a number of years. Meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month in the pleasant surroundings of The Bedfordshire Golf Club, providing easy access for both Bedford and Milton Keynes.

Attendees include individuals from a wide range of businesses based in and around Bedford and Milton Keynes, with an average attendance of around 30 people. Full English and continental breakfasts are available and varied speakers cover a wide range of interesting topics, relevant to business and the local community.

This month we will be joined by Lorraine Moore and Donna Coombes from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. Lorraine is a Fire Safety Inspector with a career spanning over three decades. Since starting as a Fire Fighter in 1989, Lorraine has held roles including Crew Manager, Watch Manager and Flexible Station Manager, as well as taking on specialised roles of Fire Safety Manager and Fire Inspection Team Member. Lorraine retired during lockdown after 30 years, but returned 10 months later in a part time role of Fire Safety Inspector.

Donna has had a diverse and extensive career with the Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service following joining as a Firefighter in 2000, including positions as Crew Manager and Watch Manager which led to her current role of Fire Safety Inspector. Donna’s key responsibilities are conducting fire safety audits, consulting on building regulations and licensing applications and performing after fire inspections.
