Requirements to release an original Will

If you are requesting your own Will
Please send us:

  • A signed letter requesting your Will (and any other documents if required), and confirming the address to which we should send your document(s). (We must see the original copy and cannot accept a scanned copy);
  • A copy of your valid, in-date photo ID document (passport or driving licence or bus pass). A scanned copy is acceptable. If you do not have photo ID, please send in two forms of ID showing your full name and address (a bank statement and utility bill).

If you are requesting the Will of someone that has passed away
Please send us:

  • A signed letter from all executors (this can be one letter signed by all or individual) requesting the release of the Will and confirming the address to which we should send this or the name of the person to whom it should be given;
  • A copy of each executors valid, in-date photo ID document (passport, driving licence or bus pass). A scanned copy is acceptable. If you do not have photo ID, please send in two forms of ID showing your full name and address (a bank statement and utility bill);
  • A copy of the Death Certificate for the deceased. A scanned copy is acceptable.

If you send any original documents, we will return these to you along with the requested item(s).

Please note: All documents are stored off-site. We will aim to have everything ready for dispatch/collection within 12 working days from the date of receiving the original request(s) plus all supporting documentation as outlined.
