Woodfines Solicitors offers work experience placements across its offices in Bedford, Milton Keynes and Cambridge during July, August and September each year.
“I would like to thank you very much for arranging the work experience for me. I found it very, very useful and really enjoyed it as well. I appreciate the time you took out to talk to me and I have learnt a lot from you and the other members of the department in my time there. You all made me feel very welcome and comfortable and it was a pleasure working with you all.”
Placements are usually for one week at a time but spaces are extremely limited. As a result, we will generally give preference to applications from individuals who are currently in their second or third year at University.
We also consider applications from sixth form students, offering a maximum of two days experience at the firm.
Applications are accepted from the 31st October of the year prior to the placement, to the 31st March of the year in which the placement is to take place. Applications received outside of this period will not be considered.
Woodfines always welcomes applications from ambitious and dynamic potential recruits to our growing business.

“Having completed the LPC in 2018, I have been avidly researching and applying for Training Contracts, work experience and paralegal positions to begin my legal career. I have found applying for Training Contracts to be an arduous, demanding and quite often disheartening task, however remembering the reward at the end makes the experience entirely worth it.
I have been lucky enough to be accepted for work experience with Woodfines in Milton Keynes, who provided from day one incredibly hands-on training, allowing for a feel of real-life exercises. In the short time that I’ve been here, I have had the opportunity to experience the Company and Commercial, Crime and Regulatory and Private Client departments. Being given the chance to assist with various research and drafting exercises and sitting in on meetings has been really beneficial, and time was made in between it all for a visit to Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court as well.
Everybody at Woodfines has gone out of their way to provide help and experience – it would be a pleasure to work here again.”
